And So It Begins

Hey, friendly reader. My name is Richard Xiao and you've just stumbled upon my blog. Now, aren't you lucky. Lol. Let's cut to the chase here. I'm 19 years old, a sophomore at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, USA. I'm a pre-med Psych major and I plan to become a pediatrician when I finish medical school. If you want to know more about me, you can Facebook me if you'd like. The main reason I started this blog is that I never really had anything to blog about until now.
About a month ago, I applied for a position at a nearby hospital. Well, as of tomorrow, I start my new job as a medical scribe in the ER! If you don't know what that is, I basically follow a physician around and document the patients' charts and any other important information that needs to be noted. It's a fairly new development in the medical field, only about a decade making it into the mainstream. If you want to learn more about it, Wiki it. :-D Anyway, I feel like this is going to be one of the most interesting points of my life and I want to share it with whoever wants to listen (or read that is).
